How long does it take to clean my carpets?
That of course depends on how many rooms need to be cleaned, how soiled the carpet is, and if you have pets. Once the technician has set up his equipment, it takes about 10-15 minutes per room. We have very powerful equipment! The more soiled the carpet is, the longer it takes to clean and if you have pet stains more work is required, therefore it takes longer to clean.
What is the drying time?
Drying time depends on the humidity . On humid days the drying time is longer, also if we have had to use more water than usual due to soil or stains, the drying time is increased….but generally the drying time is 3-4 hours.
Can I walk on my carpet before it dries?
Yes and no…You can walk on it if you are careful not to fall…and if you don’t make pathways…tracks that will detract from the cleaning. Generally it is not a good idea.
What do I need to do to prepare for the cleaning?
Vacuuming is always a good idea in any case, but not absolutely necessary. If you have children, you should pick up any toys or clothing that may be on the floor. If you have furniture you want moved, such as end tables, coffee tables, please remove personal items, items that could fall.
Do you move furniture?
We do move some furniture. If you ask, the technician will move your sofa, loveseat, chairs and tables. We do not move entertainment centers, electronic equipment, computers, beds, dressers, china cabinets, pianos etc.
Does Carpet Protection (Scotchguard or Telfon) really work?
Yes! Carpet manufacturers recommend using these products. You will preserve the life and beauty of your carpet with these products…carpet is an investment, please take care of it.
When I get a phone estimate, will it change when the technician arrives?
Sometimes the estimate does change. If the carpeted area is larger than expected, for example a house that has overall square footage of 2,000 SqFt is less expensive to clean than a house where the overall square footage is 3,000 SqFt. If there are stains that need to be cleaned, the technician may advise you of this…stain removal is an additional charge. We try to give the most accurate estimate possible, please advise us of any special problems that exist. We do not want any unpleasant suprises.
Do you have a guarantee? What if a stain reappears?
Yes, we will do our best to clean your carpet. If after the carpet dries, you are not fully satisfied, call us within one week and we will cheerfully and promptly return to redo our work at no additional charge. Your satisfaction is very important to us.
Do I have to be home when my carpet is cleaned?
It is not necessary that you be home while your carpet is cleaned because our technicians are thoroughly trained professional you can trust. We do recommend that you be there when we begin to point out any problem spots you have, or leave us a note. We will lock up for you. However, we do need a method of payment before we leave your home.
Do we need electricity or water on site?
No, we carry our own water and our equipment is powered by our truck engine, so we do not need electricity. However, if you do not have electricity, we do need to clean early in the day so we have adequate light. Please let us know ahead of time if there is no electricity or water, so we can be prepared.
Are your chemicals safe?
Yes, all of the general chemicals we use are not toxic. If you prefer we do have organic chemical available.
Can you guarantee my stains will be removed?
Unfortunately, no. No one can realistically say they can remove all stains. If you hear this promise….buyer beware. We do a fine job removing stains. We will try hard to do this for you. But we cannot say that every stain will be removed.
